Adopting a healthy lifestyle before getting pregnant, can help prevent complications and increase the odds of a normal pregnancy.
That statement comes from the British Medical Journal.
Researchers analyzed lifestyle habits of women who had no difficulties during their pregnancies, and who delivered healthy babies. They found those women had certain factors in common like a normal weight, healthy blood pressure, and they were all employed during their pregnancy, indicating they kept active.
They were also more likely to increase their fruit intake before pregnancy, and decrease alcohol and any drugs.
