Ride Citibus free during the U Can Share Food Drive

Provided by Citibus

Citibus passengers and those who would entertain riding Citibus will help South Plains Food Bank (SPFB) by donating acceptable non-perishable food items. Last year, Citibus passengers brought in 9,419 pounds of food for the SPFB in exchange for free rides.

Citibus is proud to be a SPFB contributor by offering the free rides. It's a great way for passengers to give back to their community and a season that many passengers look forward to each year when they can ride for free by donating.

Today through December 7th, ride all day free by donating three cans of food or boxed items. Ride one way with one food donation. CitiAccess passengers receive a one way trip for three food item donations. CitiAccess is door to door scheduled rides for those who are not able to ride the regular Citibus. Please call 806-712-2000 ext. 235 for CitiAccess eligibility and scheduling.

Citibus also partners with SPFB throughout the year by transporting citizens who have food box vouchers that have been donated to them by local agencies and churches. Monday – Friday clients bring their voucher to the Downtown Transfer Plaza by 10:30 AM at 801 Broadway. Citibus then transports them for free to the SPFB to pick up their food and then transports them back to the address that is printed on their voucher.
