Tens of thousands of people crammed into United Supermarkets in Lubbock Wednesday to check off last-minute items on their grocery lists.
United Representative Eddie Owens says the day before Thanksgiving is the busiest day of the year, every year.
"The good news is that we know it's coming, so we can stock up," Owens said.
But if you're not a master in the kitchen, United provides a way for you to still have a home-cooked meal without all the stress and effort.
Premade Thanksgiving dinners have all the turkey day staples that you love.
"Opportunity for folks to come in and get their entire meal in advance," Owens said. "It's a little higher than doing it yourself, but you can't beat the ease and convenience."
Glazed Honey Ham manager Matt Lagcock says that next to Christmas, Thanksgiving is the busiest holiday.
With five times the usual staff, his crew is working full days and overtime to keep up with the orders.
"It has been busy and we are ready for it," Lagcock says. "We have a really good crew and we are prepared for the rush."
Some orders came in as early as August.
But don't let the name fool you, they dish out more than just mouth-watering hams. They are also serving up three different kinds of turkey with sides.
"We have smoked, baked and Cajun turkeys. Turkey breast... Side dishes, dressing, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes so we have your whole Thanksgiving meal."
Stella's Restaurant also has their "Thanksgiving Feast To Go" packages available for pickup. Each package serves 10-12 people.
