LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

No people were injured but three dogs were killed in a house fire on Saturday at 79th Street and Avenue F.

Officials say the fire started in the kitchen around 2 p.m. and spread smoke damage throughout the house.

LFD Battalion Chief Craig Gannon said, "We had us a fairly significant house fire in the kitchen area - 25% fire damage and the rest of the structure had smoke damage."

The three dogs were trapped inside.

The fire marshal's investigation is underway.
