Each year, KCBD Newschannel 11 teams up with United Supermarket and the South Plains Food Bank to raise food and funds for those in need across the Lubbock area. This year, Prosperity Bank is the food bank's corporate sponsor.

Just like in past years, KCBD will be live at United, but this year we're not at just one location. We'll be changing locations each day, making our rounds across town from United, to Market Street and even Amigos.

The drive starts Monday and runs through Saturday, so go through your pantry or grab a few extra cans while you're shopping for your family, and drop them off at any United location. (Most wanted meals: http://www.spfb.org/u-can-share-2013/)

The Lubbock Public Library is also holding its annual Food for Fines food drive this week. One can will be equal to one dollar in fines. All donations will go to the South Plains Food Bank. The drive runs through Sunday.

Citibus is also joining in to feed people across the South Plains.

From Monday through Saturday, they're offering free one-way rides with the donation of a non-perishable food item. And for three items, you can get an all day pass.

Last year, Citibus collected almost 9,500 pounds of food through this program.
