One person facing charges after Tuesday afternoon police chase

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

One person is facing charges after leading police on a chase around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Lubbock police say they attempted to pull-over Daniel Salinas, 25, of Abernathy, for expired registration.

Salinas refused to stop, leading the police on a chase until he later crashed into a home at 28th and Avenue L.

Police say the SUV that Salinas was driving was stolen from Hale County.

Salinas is being charged with evading arrest, driving while intoxicated, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

The passenger with Salinas at the time of the chase was arrested on unrelated charges.
