While the chance of significant precipitation is diminishing, the cold temperatures will remain in the KCBD viewing area throughout the weekend.
Temperatures will remain extremely cold into Friday with light snow and sleet showers spreading northeast across the Rolling Plains and eastern South Plains.
Flurries and light snow showers could develop with 1/2 and inch to 1 inch of snow possible.
Highs for Friday will only warm into the lower to mid 20s with wind chills in the single digits and teens this morning. Lows will drop between 5 and 10 degrees Friday night.
Another brief opportunity for snow could develop Saturday along with daytime highs in the 15 to 20 degree range.
Bitter cold temperatures will continue through Sunday.
