ASH FLAT, AR (KAIT) - One man was injured after a convenience store canopy collapsed Monday.

According to Sharp County Sheriff Mark Counts, the canopy of the J and P Flash Market/Citgo station in Ash Flat collapsed around 12:30 p.m. Monday.

Counts says five vehicles were underneath the canopy at the time. One man was taken to a Batesville hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The accumulation of wintry precipitation contributed to the collapse, according to Counts.
