Body of woman found in Big Lake identified

MANILA, AR (KAIT) - A woman found dead inside a submerged car in the Big Lake National Wildlife Refuge has been identified.

According to the Mississippi County Sheriff's Department, the body of Linda Jackson, 60, of Manila was found inside the car.

Mississippi County authorities pulled a car from the Big Lake National Wildlife Refuge Tuesday morning.

The sheriff's office was called after someone reported seeing the roof of a white Chevy Malibu sticking out of the water around 9:30 a.m. It was in the water at Brights Landing off Highway 18, Sheriff Dale Cook says.
