Tornado sirens accidentally go off in Paragould

PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - It might seem strange to hear tornado sirens going off in December, but that is what happened by accident in Paragould Tuesday morning.

According to a news release by the Paragould Police Department, tornado sirens for the city went off around 3:30 a.m.

They went off while the siren system was being disarmed. The police department apologized for them being activated and stated "measures have been taken to prevent it from happening again".
