TRAFFIC ALERT! Two lanes closed on East 9th Street

East 9th Street, Cleveland East 9th Street, Cleveland

Another traffic headache for drivers in downtown Cleveland.

Starting Friday morning, two of the three southbound lanes on E. 9th Street at Euclid Avenue will be closed for a major building rehabilitation project for approximately eight months.

This is between Euclid and Prospect.

One lane of southbound traffic will be maintained at all times.

This work will not affect the northbound travel lanes.

A barrier protected pedestrian walkway is provided on the west side of E. 9th St.

This work zone will be adjusted by August 1, 2014.

At that time two lanes will be open for southbound traffic.

All work on this project is expected to be completed by July 1, 2015.
