Accident on I-20 near Marshall backs up traffic for miles

MARSHALL, TX (KLTV) - An accident on Interstate 20 near Marshall backed up eastbound traffic for miles on Monday afternoon.

According to Department of Public Safety troopers, a truck traveling towards Louisiana on I-20 near Marshall ran into the guardrail near mile marker 618 before coming back into the road and rolling. The driver of the truck was ejected and was taken to a local hospital. She was unconscious when the ambulance left the scene.

A passenger in the car said he was asleep and woke up as the truck was in the process of rolling.

Troopers at the scene say the driver was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
