UPDATE: Talian Mackey charged with robbery, burglary after Wednesday car chase

Talian Mackey is facing multiple charges, including robbery, burglary and evading arrest after leading Lubbock police on a car chase Wednesday afternoon.

Police say Mackey robbed a man at gun point near 45th and Ave. L on Wednesday, then fled in a Lincoln SUV.

About a half hour later, an officer spotted the suspect vehicle and gave chase. The suspect ran stop lights and signs as he made his way across town to 41st and Peoria.

That's where police say Mackey ditched the SUV in an alley. He then broke into a woman's home, entering from the back and running to the front.

Officers caught up with him as he tried to get into another back yard.
