Lubbock stores ready for post-Christmas crowds

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

The presents have been opened but wave two of Christmas shopping has just begun.

Whether it's first gift card purchases or exchanges, stores were open to offer the final deals.

Ashley Knox at the South Plains Mall said that shopping for the holidays has become a much longer process than in years past.

"The holiday season really runs through the New Year," Knox said. "Many of our stores started semi-annual sales which will run through the New Year."

Semi-annual and post holiday sales are giving shoppers another reason to get out.

"Lots of good deals to be had. Good crowds, people are happy. It's exciting."
