New details emerge in the suspected kidnapping of a woman here in Lubbock.

Police responded to a 9-1-1 call Wednesday afternoon from a home in the 1900 Block of 43rd Street. Once there, officers tried to force their way into the home, but found it barricaded. As police continued trying to enter, the victim removed the barricades and opened the door with her suspected kidnapper standing near her.

Police reports say the woman told officers she'd been in the house since Monday, usually handcuffed to a bed. She also stated she had been physically assaulted.

Officers arrested 53-year-old Stacy Conner on multiple outstanding warrants and charged him with aggravated kidnapping. He was taken to the Lubbock County Jail where he remains as of Wednesday night.
