The Red Raiders went aboard the USS Ronald Reagan on the San Diego Naval Base on Sunday before the big bowl game.

Airman Mario Olivas from El Paso was selected by Kliff Kingsbury to be an official team captain for Monday's Holiday Bowl against Arizona State.

"I'm excited to go watch this game," Olivas said. "I have to root for the Red Raiders. I had no idea - free tickets and to be a captain!"

Kliff and the Red Raiders took a tour of the ship, which is 1,092 feet long. Olivares has been on the ship a year and helps launch and recover aircraft.

He wouldn't say if he will call heads or tails.

The Red Raiders face Arizona State Monday Night at 9:15 p.m. Central Time in the Holiday Bowl.
