1 killed, 2 injured in shooting outside East Lubbock nightclub

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

One person was killed and two others injured in a shooting that happened at a nightclub in East Lubbock overnight.

Investigators say a fight broke out just after 3 a.m. Wednesday outside of the Skool House Club at 1704 East 4th Street.

Police say Abraham Ugene Cleaver, 21, was killed. Frank Jobrodrick Anderson, 24 and Nicole Lee Gocher, 25 were injured.

Cleaver is a 2010 graduate from Estacado High School here in Lubbock. He played Defensive Lineman and Running Back for the Matador football team.

He died at UMC early Wednesday morning.

Jabrodrick Anderson is in serious condition at UMC. Gocher is recovering from less serious injuries at Covenant. Both suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

Officers arrested a man who ran from the scene of the shooting, but they have not said if he was involved.

Police say the investigation is ongoing. We'll continue to update this story as we learn more.
