Lubbock Fire Rescue extinguishes Wednesday afternoon fire

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire in the 1900 block of 22nd Street around 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 1.

Firefighters had the fire under control in 25 minutes.

The Lubbock Fire Marshal's Office says the blaze was contained to the attic in the rear of the residence and no injuries were reported.

They believe the fire was caused by electrical wiring in the attic.
