Lady Raiders lose Big 12 opener

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

After going 6-5 in non-conference action, the Lady raiders opened Big 12 play losing to conference favorite #22 Oklahoma 68-38.

Tech hung tough with OU trailing by only eight, 31-23 at the half. But they only scored 15 in the 2nd half, shooting 14 of 61 from the floor for the game.

Amber Battle led Tech with 11 with Marina Lizarazu chipped in 8.

The Lady Raiders had 20 turnovers as they fell to 6-6 overall and 0-1 in the Big 12.

They will visit TCU on Sunday.
