School bus runs through yard, hits parked car

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Emergency crews responded to a bus accident at 33rd and Vicksburg around 8 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Police say the school bus driver blacked out causing the bus to run through the yard of a home and hit a parked car in a carport.

School officials say the driver experienced a similar episode earlier in the school year, but had been cleared to drive by a doctor in December. However, he has been removed from driving responsibilities.

There were 6 students on the bus at the time of the accident, but none were injured in the accident.

The accident caused minimal damage.
