Heart Walk Held at Tech

It may surprise many, but heart disease is the #1 cause of death in the United States. On Saturday, more than 1,000 people took part in the American Heart Association walk at the Texas Tech University Frazier Pavilion.

This year's theme "Change Tomorrow. Today." A 17-mile bicycle ride was added this year in addition to the walk.

The group hopes to raise $110,000 with this year's event.
