United Supermarket guests who buy $25 or more worth of groceries during the month of January and February will be able to purchase a $10 ticket to a men's basketball game or a $5 ticket for women's basketball.

"We are excited to team with such a friendly and inviting company like United Supermarkets," head men's coach Tubby Smith said. "This is a great opportunity for fans to shop at United and catch Texas Tech Basketball. We look forward to seeing everyone out at United Spirit Arena this season.

Guests will receive a special printed receipt that can be redeemed in advance at the athletics ticket office or on gameday, starting one hour prior to tipoff at the United Spirit Arena ticket office. The savings per ticket with the UNITE discount is $10.

"This is a great opportunity to partner with a long-time Texas Tech basketball supporter in United Supermarkets," head women's coach Candi Whitaker said. "We hope all our fans get a chance to shop at United and come be a part of Lady Raider basketball at United Spirit Arena this season."

In addition, guests at each of the nine United Supermarket Lubbock store locations will have the opportunity to participate in an exclusive social media challenge.

Life-size cutouts of Texas Tech Basketball Head Coaches Tubby Smith and Candi Whitaker will be placed in various locations throughout each store. One lucky fan with the most creative picture with the cutouts found on social media using the hashtag #WreckEm will win a $500 gift from United Supermarkets.

For additional information on the UNITE campaign, please contact the athletics ticket office at (806) 742-TECH.
