A Lubbock Grand Jury returned indictments in several cases Tuesday...
A former jailer with the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office was indicted for online solicitation of an underage girl. 49-year-old Mario Luna was arrested back in December. Police say he used social media to contact an undercover officer posing as a 16-year-old girl.
Marcus Carroll was indicted for a shooting inside the Skool House club in the early morning hours on New Year's Day. Police say Carroll shot a girl inside the bar and threatened to shoot another person. The girl was treated and released. Carroll was charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
The suspect in a chain of 7-11 robberies last year was also indicted on Tuesday. 24-year-old Elias Rene Luna faces two counts of aggravated robbery. Police say Luna was armed with a metal pipe when he robbed a 7-11 in Central Lubbock. He was found hiding in a car a short time later. Police also found evidence linking him to another 7-11 robbery earlier in the year.
