East Lubbock is one step closer to getting a new retail shopping center. On Monday, the library board gave the go ahead to sell four acres of land it owns next to the Patterson Library.
As NewsChannel 11 told you last month, the north and east development corporation wants to buy the land for a shopping strip. The land is worth more than $11,000. Money made from the purchase would go to library funds.
The city council will make the final decision at a November city council meeting.
