Multiple law enforcement agencies are collecting evidence from the scene of a shooting that happened at North Indiana Avenue and Duke Street around 4:30 p.m., near the Rawls golf course.
Police tell us they received reports of shots fired on Friday afternoon. When the officer arrived, he saw a man with a gun walking around the area. When the officer confronted him, police say the suspect raised his weapon and the officer shot him.
Two victims with gunshot wounds were found in a nearby residence. Both victims and the suspect were taken to UMC with life-threatening injuries.

"All this violence needs to stop...all of this shooting that is going on. I just hope everyone realizes and knows that this is not good for anyone," Flores said.
Per standard procedure, the officer will be placed on paid administrative leave while the shooting is investigated.
An area from North Indiana to Erskine has been closed off as authorities search for evidence. DPS has called in a helicopter to take aerial photos of this large crime scene.
