LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

When the Denver Broncos take to the field to play Seattle Sunday for Super Bowl 48, three Red Raiders will be in the starting lineup: Wes Welker, Manny Ramirez and Louis Vasquez.

For Ramirez, who resides in Earth, Texas with his family, it couldn't be any better.

"It's amazing. Brings back a lot of memories from being at Tech with them. I was able to play two years with Wes and two years with Louis."

Ramirez and Vasquez are next to each other on the big offensive line that protects Quarterback Peyton Manning. Having played together since the Red Raider days only helps.

"It's been good with Louis right next to me on the line. Knowing how each other plays. We push each other to bring the best out of ourselves."

None of the three Red Raiders have won a Super Bowl ring before, but Sunday - with the world watching - they will try to win on football's grandest stage.

"It's an amazing blessing to have the opportunity to go to the Big Game. It hasn't hit home yet. Our mindset is we have one more game and once we bring it home, that will be the amazing part about the trip."
