LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A K-9 unit helped track down and subdue a burglary suspect in the 2000 block of East 15th Street on Wednesday afternoon.

Police responded to a burglary in progress at 1:45 p.m. They say the suspect had damaged the walls and ransacked the home.

Initial investigation led police to believe the suspect was still there, so K-9 units were called to conduct a search.

The suspect attempted to flee during the search but was caught by a K-9.

Erick Ernesto Devora, 19, was arrested for burglary, criminal mischief and resisting arrest.

Stolen property was recovered from Devora. He was treated for a dog bite by EMS, arrested, and taken to the county jail.
