Man in hospital after swerving off road

A Lubbock man is fighting for his life in the hospital after losing control of his vehicle and swerving off the road.

70-year-old James Majorowski was headed south bound on 1000 Ave. Q when he suddenly veered off the road into an empty field. Majorowski then crossed the 1700 block of Main before driving into another empty field.

His car stopped when it ran into broken blocks of concrete that were laying in the field.

Majorowski was transported to UMC with life threatening injuries not believed to have been caused by the accident.
