SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

An accident involving an 18-wheeler still has one eastbound lane of I-20 shutdown at mile marker 571, which is the Highway 271 exit.

Highway patrol is on the scene directing traffic around the accident on the overpass to Highway 271.

The big rig involved in the accident is operated by Turner Trucking Company. There is no word on injuries at this time, but traffic is slow moving in the area.

Motorists should use Highway 80 or Highway 31 E. as alternate routes to avoid delays traveling between Tyler and Longview.
