LITTLEFIELD, TX — February 8, 2014 — The City of Littlefield has lifted the TCEQ required Boil Water Notice issued on Friday, February 7.

On Friday, February 7, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Littlefield to issue a boil water notice to inform our citizens that due to an interruption of service caused by a major water leak, water from our system was to be boiled prior to consumption.

The City of Littlefield has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling as of Saturday, February 08.

If you have questions concerning this matter, you may contact Mike Arismendez at 806-485-1205. If citizens wish to reach TCEQ, they may call 512-239-4691.
