Political Sign Theft

For the fourth time, one Lubbock resident woke up to find his political signs were missing from his yard. Wesley Hobgood, a loyal Democrat, proudly displays "John Kerry for President" and "Stenholm for Congress" signs in his yard. Last night 16 of his 18 signs were stolen.

A Political Sign Battle
Two Lubbock neighbors are have a political battle in their front yards. These two neighbors live directly across the street. One side Republican and the other side Democrat.

You may remember a few weeks ago, we told you of his friendly "sign war" with the Bush supporter across the street. Although the neighbors have different political views, Hobgood is confident his neighbor had nothing to do with his missing signs.

"I don't think I would lower myself to go over and steal a sign just because they disagree with me. I'm American, and I'm a Democrat and I'm dog gone proud of it," said Hobgood.

Hobgood has already replaced the stolen signs and he says the police will be watching his yard.
