A San Antonio man pleaded guilty in the 2003 death of a Texas Tech Graduate.
Robert Corrigan III pleaded guilty on Friday to failure to stop and render aid in Laura Putnam's death. Corrigan received 10-years probation but must serve 6 months in jail. He did get deferred adjudication, meaning if he serves his probation without another incident, this will be taken off his record.
Corrigan must also pay a $10,000 fine and serve the next three Memorial Days behind closed doors. That's because Putnam was killed over Memorial Day weekend last year in a boating collision on Lake LBJ near Austin.
Police suspected Corrigan was driving the boat that caused the collision.
