Progress In Lake Alan Henry Easement Controversies

Some progress to report in a NewsChannel 11 follow-up. The boat dock is gone, but the gazebo still stands at Lake Alan Henry. Developers at the lake agreed to remove all structures that are in violation with the city's 300 foot easement rule.

Friday was the deadline to remove a boat dock, and Tuesday is the deadline for a lot owner to remove a gazebo. Mayor Marc McDougal says he wants the city council to talk about how to further define the memorandum of agreement which does not allow anyone to build structures within 300 feet of the water.

The city still has five cases in litigations revolving around easement violations.
