Several Lubbock business owners are unhappy after someone decided to leave Valentines Day messages all over their properties.
On Friday morning, Lubbock residents noticed spray painted hearts on Lubbock High School, a bus stop and several businesses along 19th Street.
The business owners say while they appreciate the holiday, they do not appreciate the greeting that is now costing them time and money to remove.
"The painted part and the bricks, that's just a little far. I don't think they considered the owners ort he school faculty is going to have to come up behind them and clean up the mess," said Thomas Martinez, whose place of work was vandalized.
"It was just the time that it took and somebody's inconsideration in thinking that was a fun thing to do," said Jacky Rigney, whose business was also vandalized.
Rigney said, fortunately he was able to scrub off the paint, but worries other businesses will have a harder time removing the vandalism from their brick buildings.
Police said there is surveillance video that may have picked up the person responsible for the damages and since so many properties were vandalized, the person could be looking at multiple charges.
