Family says body found in Longview is missing blind man

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

Themother of a 30-year-old missing Longview man says police told her the bodyfound Friday afternoon is her son, Gaylon Bradley. 

Police say children playing soccer found the body in a creekacross from the old Forest Park Middle School near the 1200 block Pegues Placein Longview.

Kristie Brian, Longview police spokeswoman, says the body wasfound just before 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

The case is being turned over to detectives.

Officers say the body is being sent for an autopsy in Tyler. Theysay the victim is an African American man who will not be officially identifieduntil after the autopsy is preformed.

They say the body was found partly submerged in the creek. 

Details are limited at this time, but we are working to gather more informationand will update as more becomes available.
