VIDEO: Red Raider football team puts on show with halftime dunk contest

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

During halftime of the Red Raider Men's Basketball game versus #8 Kansas, Kliff Kingsbury and the Texas Tech Football team showed off their Holiday Bowl Trophy and then a handful of players competed in a dunk contest.

The team put on quite a spectacle, showing their athleticism extends further than just what is needed to perform on the football field.

The contest was highlighted by Red Raider defensive back Sam Equaven putting on a GoPro and dunking over Raider Red.

Even though the Tech basketball team couldn't pull out the win versus the highly ranked Jayhawks, the nearly 13,000 Red Raider fans got a kick out of the football teams half time performance.

Walk On Wide Receiver, Clancy David, won the contest with a 360 dunk.
