Odessa woman killed in Hockley County wreck

HOCKLEY COUNTY, TX (KCBD) -

An Odessa woman is dead after an accident that occurred on Wednesday night at FM 1585 and U.S. Highway 385.

Deputies say the accident happened around 8:20 p.m. 

Officials say a 2007 Dodge pickup was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 385 in front of a Jeep.

When the Dodge slowed down to turn left it was rear-ended by the Jeep.

The driver of the pickup, Isaac Reimer, 53, of Wolfforth and the driver of the Jeep, 17-year-old Paula Dee Norman from Levelland, were taken to Covenant Hospital in Levelland, treated and released.

The passenger in the pickup, 66-year-old Evelina Velazquez, was also taken to the hospital and pronounced dead at 9:15 p.m.

DPS investigators say everyone involved was wearing a seatbelt.
