E. Texas man wanted for allegedly raping 14-year-old arrested in Louisiana

BOSSIER CITY, LA (KLTV) - A Hopkins County man wanted for allegedly kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl was arrested Friday morning in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Bossier City police confirm that 49-year-old Franklin Coy Kuhl, Jr. was booked into jail on an outstanding warrant for trafficking of a person. He was taken into custody without incident.

He is currently awaiting extradition back to Hopkins County.

On Tuesday, East Texas authorities announced that they were seeking Kuhl in connection to an incident that occurred February 1. Officers initially received a call from the alleged victim stating that Kuhl had taken her to a hotel in Greenville and raped her.
