Science Spectrum celebrating 25th year

Provided by the Science Spectrum

2014 is the 25th anniversary year of the Science Spectrum as an operating museum.

The public is invited to help celebrate the kick-off of the museum's 25th Anniversary on Saturday, Feb. 22 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the lobby of the Science Spectrum & OMNI Theater.

It's a birthday party celebration where guests will have fun playing party games, making 3D hats, and seeing a special photographic display spanning the museum's 25 year history.

And what good is a party without cake and ice cream? The first 400 guests will enjoy a FREE cupcake provided by Lubbock's own The Cakery.

Staff will also be on hand doing live science demonstrations of how "Instant Ice Cream" is made using liquid nitrogen and handing out free samples.

Be a part of Science Spectrum history at this special event kicking off the 25th Anniversary of Lubbock's favorite science museum!

For more event information the public may call 806-745-2525, or visit www.sciencespectrum.org.
