Car accident causes grass fire, driver flees

Police were called out to a wreck near Main and Ave. Q on Sunday, where they say the driver of an Oldsmobile ran a red light and hit a VW Beetle.

The Beetle then hit a utility pole, which started a small fire in the grass.

Police say the driver who ran the light took off running from the scene.

There were no serious injuries reported.
