Missing East Texas teen Nomei Velazquez has been found unharmed in Lubbock, Texas. Police say Juan Fabian Arenas Delacruz, 28, is in custody.
A vehicle, a silver 2004 Volkswagen Passat with Texas license plate DF7T507 was found at a Texas Tech parking area across from Covenant Hospital.
Lubbock police representative Jason Lewis says the suspect vehicle was actually spotted by an off-duty officer.
Law enforcement agencies converged on the area around 19th and Indiana for what Lewis describes as a joint operation between LPD, Nacogdoches authorities and the FBI.
Velazquez and Delacruz were found together at a nearby residence. Police say Delacruz was working a construction job in Lubbock.
Nomei was reported missing around 10 p.m. Monday, according to Nacogdoches Sheriff Jason Bridges. The case is being treated as an abduction.
The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office says the teen's cell phone was pinged twice Tuesday night in the Lubbock area, before being turned off around 10 p.m.
An Amber Alert for the Lubbock area was issued on Wednesday afternoon.
