LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock police are searching for a suspect responsible for robbing the Whataburger at 50th and Utica around 4 a.m. Monday morning.

Police say a man wearing a mask and a blue hooded sweatshirt went behind the register, displayed a handgun, and demanded money from the employees.

Police say the employees were complying with the suspect's demands, but he still fired a shot from the handgun.

The suspect then fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

Lubbock police released this video of the suspect on March 4.

No employees were hurt during the robbery and there were no customers inside at the time.
