Sterling Decker has been named this year's Miracle Child for UMC's Children's Miracle Network.

Last October, Sterling was helping his family work cattle when he had a horse accident.

He was airlifted to UMC and diagnosed with traumatic brain injury. He was unresponsive for several days, but has made an amazing recovery and is even back in the saddle.

"My horse's name is Lucky," Sterling said. "I like my horse. He's a good horse, and I started back to riding."

Sterling and his family attended the second annual Raiderthon Benefit team roping event on Saturday.

All proceeds from the event go to UMC's Children's Miracle Network to help kids like Sterling.
