One person is behind bars after leading local authorities on a car chase.
It began just before 11 o'clock Wednesday night as officers tried to pull over a Lexus near 24th and Avenue Q. The driver refused to stop and led police a mile and a half outside the city on U.S. 84. When he saw sheriff's deputies ahead, he drove back into the city, and ran over tire spikes set out by DPS troopers.
The suspect then drove to the overpass at 66th and I-27, where he attempted to jump. Officers managed to bring 26-year-old Paul Anthony Honesto to safety, but he continued to resist arrest. So officers were forced to use a taser, before taking Honesto into custody.
