LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

Classic cars rolled in style at St. Luke-Simpson United Methodist Church as they hosted a car show to honor Lake Charles' first ever recorded quintuplets.

"It makes me proud that somebody actually thought about doing this for the kids," said attendee and car enthusiast Anna Hoffpauir. "They're precious little kids."

The Plauche family welcomed the quints in September 2012 and now, to help the family, organizers and car enthusiast Beth Bowers alongside her husband Joe, hosted "Cars for Quints"

"The same month we got our car done, the quints were born," said Bowers. "So, it was a two face thing and we decided, why not raise money for them."

Lake Area locals gazed as car owners showed off their best rides for a good cause.

"We like to just cruise around and do car shows with the group and have fun," said car owner and member of the Cajun Camaro car club Lee John. "Whenever we can combine that with doing a fundraiser such as "Cars for Quints," we even get more involved with that."

Bowers says she hopes to host another car show in the future and helping the Plauche family is something she's more than willing to do.

"Seeing them grow and they're just now starting to walk," said Bowers. "They're precious. We love them and we are very blessed to have them in our community."
