Lumberjack NCAA tourney t-shirt sales booming

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Lumberjack madness has officially begun. SFA students and alumni just couldn't wait to get their hands on some lumberjack gear Tuesday. Fresh off the press, the college book store, B & N Bookstore in Nacogdoches, stocked several of their shelves with the official NCAA tournament shirts that feature the Lumberjacks.  At $25 a pop the store managed to sale more than a hundred shirts in just a few hours, which was more than the store anticipated.  About 60 percent of the sales were placed online and some of those sales came from across the United States.

Store manager, Kristen Reeves said to keep up with the demand she placed a second order just to make sure everyone can get their hands on the gear.

"When we first got the boxes in, we were unboxing them at the front of the store and people were buying them out of the box. We have two different graphics and people where having a hard time choosing which one they wanted some of them bought both," Reeves said.

She adds that she is expecting the shirts to be sold out by the end of the week.
