Cabela's Incorporated, the World's Foremost Outfitter® of hunting, fishing and outdoor gear, plans to hire approximately 100 full-time and part-time employees to staff its new Lubbock, Texas, store scheduled to open this summer.

Applications are being accepted now and must be submitted online. Anyone interested in applying should visit www.cabelas.jobs, click on "Apply Now," then "United States Jobs." Then follow instructions to log in and follow the application process. Applying does not guarantee an interview.

Interviews will take place March 25-28 at the Workforce Solutions Center, 1301 Broadway in Lubbock (basement of Lubbock Power & Light building). Most employees are expected to come from Lubbock and the surrounding areas.

The Lubbock store will be Cabela's fifth Texas location, joining Fort Worth, Allen, Buda and Waco.

"We are looking forward to building a staff that will join the existing Texas locations in providing Cabela's legendary customer service across the Lone Star state," said Rodney Tolar, general manager of the new store. "The ideal candidate is hard-working and passionate about the outdoors."

The 42,000-square-foot store will be located at 34th and West Loop 289 in the Pomenade at West End.

Currently, Cabela's operates 50 stores across North America and has announced plans to open an additional 23 over the next two years.
