Red Raiders lose to Lumberjacks

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Fifteen hours after pounding out 17 hits in a 20-4 win over Stephen F Austin, the results were different. Getting only six hits, Tech lost to the Lumberjacks 6-3 Wednesday afternoon at Rip Griffin Park.

Tech led 3-2, but Stephen F Austin tallied the tying run in the 6th and then added two in the 8th and one in the 9th.

Stephen Smith went three for five with a run scored for the Red Raiders who drop to 17-6.

No. 25 Texas Tech heads back into Big 12 play this weekend visiting No. 24 TCU. Tech is 1-2 in Conference after their series opening series at Baylor.
