SPUR, TX (KCBD) -

The Dairy Queen in Spur went up in flames around noon on Saturday afternoon.

The Spur police chief says that the cause was an electrical fire.

Multiple fire departments responded to the scene and worked for 2 hours to put out the fire.

The manager of the Spur Dairy Queen says that there were 3 employees and 15 customers inside at the time of the fire.

They all exited the building safely.

Not only did the flames destroy a restaurant, but it destroyed a historical display as well.

A Quannah Parker exhibit was on display inside of the Spur Dairy Queen and was a popular tourist attraction.

Officials say that a branding iron that was part of the display has been the only item recovered from the restaurant's remains so far.

We will continue to keep you updated as we learn more.
