LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

The Lubbock County Sheriff's Office is seeking information regarding a missing Lubbock teen.

Braxtan Ostrander, 17, was last seen on Friday, Mar. 21, at 10:30 p.m.

Ostrander is described as being a 5-feet-3-inches tall, weighing 180 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Her family says she could be in the Dallas area because she knows people who live there.

Her mother says there has been an overwhelming amount of support shown on social media for Braxtan, as friends continue to circulate her picture.

In just six hours, there had been almost 1,200 shares on KCBD's Facebook page alone.

Many people are sending their thoughts and well-wishes.

Paula Palmer-Purdom writes, "Prayers for her and her family that she will return home safely."

Becky Pugh Garcia says, "Sending her prayers that she is found soon."

Braxtan's mother tells us Braxtan was supposed to be spending the night at her sister's on Friday.

Her mother says she did give Braxtan permission to go to the movies on Saturday, but after not being able to contact her all day, she said they called the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office.

If you have any information regarding Ostrander, please contact the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office at 775-1601.
